A year of expansion on onecandream.
I know it has been a while since I have written a blog. Been up to quite a bit this summer, and overall, I think has been a busy and a good year. I am not talking about the calendar year that starts in January, but rather the year that begins for me in the beginning of Sept.
I continue to grow and so does the onecandream website.
Last year I turned 30, and I am about to turn 31. I can't say the year went as planned because I certainly did not plan on what happened with the Indiana SILC council See the Secretary's Chronicle, and I didn't even plan to make the chronicles. Until after the October 2006 ICOIL meeting, and after seeing the version of history the current standing council was trying to create. When Al Tolbert modified my minutes supposedly to make them shorter, he created a false record in which official council votes were changed. I wanted to at least make it possible for people of Indiana to know the truth.
I also created the onecandream dimenet archive and I created/moved to this blog address and both the blog and the dimenet archive continue to grow. Even the Games section has expanded, and a couple more games will be added in the near future.
Onecandream also has several directories, and new directories are planned for the future. To check out some of these directories go to onecandream directory page There is also a section of the website exclusively devoted to poetry, prose and other writings.
One of the newest features I would like to see is the Onecandream Interactive Community and I would like to see that expand. There is already a favorite videos collection there, as well as several articles... and users will have the opportunity to submit their own articles, participate in the forums, and be a part of onecandream in a very real way.
Real, unique content is constantly being added to onecandream and the site has grown to the point where it recieves quite a few hits, and as far as I can tell the search box located on the main page is a useful feature. There are already some ideas for new pages and content some of which will be implimented in the next year... and I hope to improve navigability.
Over the past year I have met a lot of people that I have liked, and some I have even grown to love. I hope they remain a part of my life for a long time. I hope if any of those people are reading this blog that they realize who they are and what they mean to me. I understand fully that outside of the written word, I am a poor communicator when it comes to things like that. But I do want the people who impacted my life in a positive way, to know that I value them, and that they mean a lot to me.
I don't know what I am going to find in the next year, but whatever it is, I hope to discover more joy then sorrow... and I will continue to be here, somewhere in the land of onecandream... and hopefully I will continue to discover that it is true that not only can one dream, but they can achieve their goals.
But that is really all of the major construction projects for onecandream in this past year. I hope you will continue to support onecandream in the year and years to follow.
